Addicted to Paper: Old & New
ad·dict·ed [uh-dik-tid] - adjective - devoted or given up to a practice or habit or to something psychologically or physically habit-forming (usually fol. by to ): to be addicted to drugs.
If you know me, you know I'm addicted to paper. Magazines, print media, cards, and doodads. I'm dedicating this blog post to my longtime love of paper Christmas decorations -- old & new. There's something sparkly and shabby about each piece. I love to "rescue" old paper decorations and cards from junk and antique stores. I especially love finding items that were made in Europe. My mother has even taken to sending me antique or retro cards for my birthday and on holidays.
Please enjoy this small sample of my Christmas collection and have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

And the Winner Is . . . Check Me Out!!
I'm very excited to report that one of my latest designs received a "Today's Best Award" AND a "Top 10 Invitation Views Award" on Zazzle (as in the #1 spot on the Top 10) for January 2, 2010. What a way to start off the New Year!!
Needless to say I am very excited, and feeling quite motivated. Dare I say it's just what the doctor ordered?? Ok, enough with the cheesy cheesieness. Check out my winning design and some of my other products as well.

Add Some Dazzle with Zazzle!!
Looks like I'm slacking again this year, my love of paper and printed materials has been upstaged by my love of cooking (check out Kaybeth's Kitchen). I have the best of intentions -- but alas I have only blogged here twice this year. Maybe I can make up for it by sharing my latest project. It's the invitation I created for our annual Christmas party. In years past I've used Zazzle for my party and holiday card needs -- but this year I decided to try out their invitation papers. I kept my expectations in check, I didn't want to get too excited about what might arrive on my door step. I was afraid the paper might be flimsy and the online paper sample wasn't clear, but when they arrived I was so impressed. The paper has a great look and feel, it's very sturdy and the printing of the invites looks so professional. The paper quality is terrific -- I'll definitely be doing more with the invitation papers from Zazzle. I PROMISE to upload my Christmas card once it's done!! Oh, and check out my Zazzle store: Kaybeth's Design, Layout & Photo Editing.

Photography Portfolio
Wow! It's been a while since I've posted to this blog. I'm still working on my Alaska photo book -- guess it's gonna be a while for that one! I've been busy with several other projects since my last posting. One of which is a photography portfolio book "dale m boyce PHOTOGRAPHY". I enjoy creating beautiful books . . . but this photographer made my job easy! Awesome landscape and wildlife photos. The young lady at the end of the book is the photographer's daughter . . . it works as a kind of a reminder that people are also a part of nature.
